Roscommon Volunteer Awards 2025

On December 3rd 2025, Roscommon Volunteer Centre hosted the Roscommon Volunteer Awards in the Hudson Bay hotel. The awards were held in recognition of volunteers and organisations that generously give their time and energy to make Roscommon a vibrant and thriving county. There were five awards presented on the night as well as certificates to every shortlisted volunteer and organisation.

Teresa Sweeney – Roscommon Citizens Information Centre

”As a founding member, in 1979, Teresa has dedicated 46 years to the Citizen Information Service. She has helped thousands of individuals over the years, always approachable, empathetic, ready to listen, understand and give a kind word to those who are in distress”

We are very grateful to our three judges, those who presented the awards, and to everyone who came along on the night.
